Cal V8 does have the slowest heat winning time (compare to Yale, Brown, and Washington), but this is surely due their heat being the slowest and they were saving their energy for tomorrow and Saturday.

V8 and 2V8 won their heats. 3V8 finished 2nd. All three will make their A/B semifinal on Saturday.

V4 also earned a spot in their semifinal but that's just this afternoon in a condensed racing schedule this year.
