Don’t hate it….but…can’t shake the feeling that it is all basically rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic until a change is made at the top.
The track record of below average Head Coaches suddenly figuring it out and getting it right in year 9 after 8 years of abject mediocrity is….not good.
I was going to make the Titanic deck chairs comment, but you beat me to it Jimmy, thank you. Btw, I don't think Jimmy missed a single shot in Hoosiers, which is sadly the opposite results for this coaching tenure. So, is Bryan Harsin Shooter or Norman Dale? I don't know, but I'm all out of candles to light for this woeful program. Go. Bears. Forever!
I'm trying to be positive about the hire but it's still going to improve only if we get some much better O line play. Maybe the two RS freshmen who started the last few games will improve and Vatikani will be completely recovered from his injuries. Swinney and Miller have to improve. If this all happens and they stay injury free, then we should have a decent O line. I'm sure we'll see a more aggressive offense with more imaginative plays inserted.
He had s e c tablet and really didn't do that much with it at auburn. I have mixed feelings regarding this. Cal needs to fix their offensive line.Because that was their biggest problem this season
Watching the o-line, my take was that we have decent players but they were not well coached and their blocking schemes did not work. If Bloesch stays and works full time with them and if Harsin has solid schemes, we might see some good improvement sooner than later.
Anyone else hate this hire?

But who knows…Go Bears!

Go Bears!!
I am hoping Rich Lyons is Cletus and hires us a gem…of an AD…and it all starts rolling from there.
I’m indifferent. Truly a nepo/DEI/retread hire.
DEI??

Agreed and we need to get more O-line talent from the portal.

Rugbear: I agree. The least we can do is give him a chance.
“If Bloesch stays…” to coach up the o-line. Assuming it’s his decision to make (he wasn’t fired), do we have any idea where he is on this?
Need to save and hire Troy Taylor from that nightmare he's trying to manage down at the Farm.
YES! He could be our next head coach. (just dreaming. heh heh)
Good enough to get Wilcox fired.
Clap, please…please clap…
Go Bears. This will prove to be a great addition to the Cal team.
I hope so. It better be!
Yet another OC...
I think we will see improvement but who knows if it will translate into wins.
That's what we did in 2024.
