OT: just curious if Write for California intends to cover other Cal sports? Maybe I missed it here, but I just saw elsewhere that WBB had a big 2021 signing in 4 star Mia Mastrov a week ago. Charmin Smith is charming them!
We will continue to cover other sports; however, that coverage has always less than football due to clicks.
We're also trying to figure some stuff out. It's a bit tougher to highlight multiple stories per day now since the Substack layout isn't as friendly towards multiple posts. Clicks on this site for secondary posts are down relative to our numbers at CGB and it isn't clear if it's due to interest in that topic, readers not scrolling, or readers not having interest due to the prevalence of the other massive current events that have been occupying everyone these past few months.
Too low. But it's better to temper expectations at the beginning of the season. I've seen a lot of 4-0's and top 20 rankings then we hit the skids during the meat of the schedule.
This is below expectations in my book
So much for that CBS prediction that had us winning the North! : D

Is it surprising that UW isn't in the top 25? Or that Furd received votes?

Charmin subsequently brought in guardJayda Curry who's an even higher ranked recruit (27th in the nation, 8th in the country).
That should be 8th in California.

Washington is also above the bears in votes, but omitted in the opening paragraph
Thanks for the correction

The little number next to our name seems to always doom us!
