I wonder if he's lamenting his incompetence for causing what happened, or if he's just laughing that he doesn't have to do anything because he has no attachment to Pac12.

Look, I am no fan of KliavkoffтАжI gave him a chance, considering the mess Larry Scott left him with. But like Rob Manfred, Kliavkoff really just works at the behest of his bosses, and theyтАЩre the ones that hired a guy with NO experience in college athletics for a second consecutive timeтАжhe didnтАЩt unilaterally nix TV deals on his own.

He did get absolutely worked by YormarkтАжitтАЩs just that thereтАЩs plenty of blame to go aroundтАж

It's like a reliever put on mound with bases loaded and he gave up a grand slam. He also was just a pitcher called up from a minor league and it was the manager's fault for sending him on mound.

Per Wilner, espn offered the Pac10 $30m last fall, and ~3 Presidents turned it down, flat out rejection. They told K to go get $50m per school......not saying that K has been any good but you can only do what your bosses direct.
