Imo the play wasn't MWC, it was rebuild the Pac with west teams. The OSU AD had it right. ACC is more of the same 5-7 a couple minor bowl games every decade except 3000 miles away
the only play was to merge with the MWC. That would avoid any penalties for MWC teams leaving, That said, rebuilding the Pac with a bunch of MWC teams just relegates the rebuilt Pac to G5 status.
