Cal ends its 2022 college football season with a 4-8 record
The No. 18 UCLA Bruins (9-3, 6-3 Pac-12) rolled to a 35-28 victory against the California Golden Bears (4-8, 2-7 Pac-12).
The Bears could not stop UCLA’s star quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who threw for 189 yards and one touchdown.
The Bruins ran over the Bears. UCLA completed Saturday afternoon with 352 rushing yards, including 88 from Thompson-Robinson. DTR also had two touchdowns carrying the rock.
Meanwhile, costly mistakes cost California the game.
A late fumble by Golden Bear running back Jaydn Ott ended California’s dreams of a comeback win. The drop came on a fourth-and-sixth play with less than two minutes left in the game. Ott caught a deep middle pass for 12 yards to the California 38 before coughing up the ball to UCLA.
