California and UNLV are 1-0 against the spread in the 2022 college football season. This past weekend, the Rebels put in a convincing 52-21 rout against the Idaho State Bengals from the FCS Big Sky conference.
California had a slow start in its season opener, unsurprisingly, as 10 Golden Bears started their first-ever college football games on Saturday. The Golden Bears punted the ball three times and threw an interception in its first four drives against UC Davis. In contrast, UNLV scored on all seven first-half drives and led 45-7 at halftime in its first game. As a result, nearly every starting Rebel did not play in the second half.
The Sept. 10 match-up between Cal and UNLV will be the first between the two programs.
