That is a heck of a spread but doesn't seem that far off. OK, so we all have our ways of dealing with Cal football. This Saturday afternoon I will be stacking firewood and will come inside for breaks and watch a bit of the game. Then I will probably be pissed off again and go stack more wood. The anger keeps me moving. I will have the full cord stacked by nightfall. It's kinda sick. Go Bears anyway.

I like it. Great way to blow off steam. I’ve been chopping wood, ‘til I threw my back out. Was on the IL a couple of weeks. Game time decision.

I can see us losing by 4, and I can see us losing by 40, but somehow I can’t see us losing by 20.

That Cal is be a 20 point underdog to Louisville is another in a long list of indictments on the program. This is not against the players who put their butts on the line every game, but I'm hoping we lose all of our remaining games and don't make a bowl game so it becomes even more clear that fundamental changes need to happen and we can finally put the Knowlton/Wilcox/Christ era to rest and move on.

The Cal Football regime is on life support , winning less than 33% of their conference games in the 9 years under Coach Wilcox. Add to that , scheduling cream puffs to oppose Cal before conference play, and you have a program that examples mediocrity to its core.

It’s so agonizingly clear that Cal doesn’t stand a chance this weekend. Just a question by how many points we get beaten. And if Cade doesn’t play, it could be really awful. All this leads to a 5-5 record Sunday morning and then it’s just whether Cal can beat Stanford to determine whether it’s a 6-6 or 5-7 season because Cal will not beat SMU. As much as I’d like us to beat Stanford for the 5th year in a row, a bowl bid will be to some third rate bowl and serve only to prolong the agony of the fans. I’d rather get this season over with and on to what I hope will be a new coach and a well financed program that finally ends this dismal Wilcox era. But it’s Cal football so who the hell knows?

Bet the farm on Cal.  No brainer.

Which GB Team shows up on Saturday: the VT/NC/Virginia competitive Bears, or the Duke/SDSU soul-crushing Bears? The betting line is on the latter. If Cal does get blown out, we all know what SHOULD happen, but with our administration we don't know what WILL happen... Another frustrating year for Cal fans - early success leading to dashed dreams... BTW, if you count the Nov 1 game as an October game, then the JW-led GBs are 1-3 in Oct. Maybe we should petition for both bye weeks in October. So sad...
