4.5 is a pretty small spread considering Virginia is ranked #15. I guess Vegas is taking into account the fact that UVA has had three games go to overtime, and narrowly wly avoided another one against Wazzu.
We’re probably the worst 5-3 team in P4, and they’re probably the weakest 7-1 P4 team.
Virginia has been dreadful away. They lost to North Carolina State and barely won in overtime in two others (Louisville and North Carolina), both of which aren't really good teams.
Then you consider the small cross-country travel penalty.

I have a theory that we used to have a more balanced MLB pair. There was always one cerebral and one missile. We have two missiles now, which is exposing us all over the field. Masses is a great cover corner that would have done well in the Weaver days but doesn't tackle enough for this version of the defense

If Cal’s receivers catch 100% of the catchable balls thrown to them by JKS then we will win this game, pure and simple.
