Given this coaching staff’s relative inexperience, it’s incredibly unrealistic to expect them to make some massive headway this year. Best we can hope for is incremental progress.
This is exactly what those of us who were pessimistic about Tosh were worried about. Slight improvement in recruiting is more than offset by a dive in coaching, making this a team whose fondest dreams are for a Wilcox level 6 or 7 wins.
I need my HC to be a good at being a coach, not just elite recruiter and motivator. He needs to study schemes and play-calling if he is not hiring experts who can do that for him. This is just bad.

I don’t think anybody ever kept Tosh around for his coaching, which was fine for a recruiting specialist helping a real coach but I’m really not feeling great about putting him in charge of an entire program
I was hoping he hires competent OC and DC to make up for his personal lacking. That's what a good leader do. He is not a good head coach if cannot figure out that the coaches he has hired and his coaching philosophy is THE problem.
