Well the boys pulled it out. Well done team. Never gets old to beat the spoiled children. Watching the game you can't help but see how the $C guys are bigger at nearly every position. But they don't play well as a team. Maybe Riley will change that. Maybe not. But the Bears won tonight in the Joe Roth jerseys and we can go into this too long off season with a good taste from this game. Who knows what our future holds?
And will Garbers be back....it would be a shame to waste an f-ing loaded D in an even-year schedule break by starting a QB that couldn’t even see action at U of A....
Yeah, I don't know. We will have young WRs too. Maybe it's better to have Garbers. Or maybe it's better to get a new QB and WRs in together. Elite defense can bail out a young offense.
We saw this downside with Deltha O’Neal & Justin Vedder...I hear what you’re saying, and Chase is what he is...BUT you’re supposing Cal can get competent QB play from a RS FR next year when nothing in the past 5 years (Modster, Brasch, Rowell, Glover) says that should be expected.....
I hope Garbers (and all the players with 1 more year) comes back, we make a change at OL coach, hit the transfer portal hard and win 9 games next season.
An experienced, game manager Chase Garbers at QB + a Bimage/BJ/Deng anchored young D + tweaks to the O-line + even year scheduling = 9 win season potentially.
If D was rebuilding I’d say let Chase walk...but that D could be so good that a game manager at QB that doesn5 make mistakes could be key key key

That was SC's lowest point total of the season. They had 16 against ASU and Notre Dame.
