Just pulled the trigger on Sling TV and their Sports Extra package that offers the Pac 12 network. All told, about $100 through the football season. The day after the college football season, I cancel. Games I can view on Saturday and only on the Pac 12 network are Utah at Washington State, UCLA at Stanford and Cal at Washington. When looking ahead at the schedule, I am pretty sure most of Cal's games will only be available on the Pac 12 Network. Worth it to me when you consider it cost that much for a good seat to see one game live.
If you use Verizon for cell they have an offer available right now. I have also seen one month for $10 offer on facebook for Sling. Not sure of the details.
Yep. An offer to suck you in and then full charge the next month. The good thing is no contracts and immediate cancellation when the season is over. It looks like the Pac 12 Network has more control of decent games that are otherwise not watchable anywhere else. I plan on watching all three of those games on Saturday. I really am not much interested in watching much college football outside of the conference.
I was so proud of myself when I cut the chord on cable several months back and went with You Tube TV. Saved a hundred bucks a month just like that. It wasn't until the football season started until I realized that the Pac 12 network is nowhere to be found on You Tube TV. Nowhere to be found in restaurants and bars, either, because 99% of them are Direct TV. For Saturday evening, I have the option to driving one hour to Busby's in Santa Monica, which is a Cal bar, or listening on the radio. I really hate to say this, but I do not feel safe anywhere in LA anymore, and that unfortunately includes the West side of town. So I guess it's the radio.
I used Sling for 3-4 months in 2019, just for football season. I think their cost went way up this year. Last year I did not care. I also have You Tube TV. Thanks Larry Scott!
Have to win a few first. Losing to Nevada and TCU made us a prime time pariah. Anyways, the Oregon game will be nationally televised on a Friday night no less. A good opportunity to impress (or depress) recruits.
Silver lining: mid-day time instead of Pac-12 after dark. As much as I love me some chaos, not being on the east coast makes it very tiring to stay up for the game and being woken up the next morning at 6am by my two young kids.
I was going to say the same thing; you could be on prime time in the Philippines on FS1. The ghost of Larry Scott's contract negotiations lives on, though in fairness, he was told to get all the $s he could, and the $s would have been smaller had there been many actual performance or access/exposure requirements in the deals. At least we have got rid of most of the weeknight games.
It would be nice if we were good enough to be on on normal TV. Not TV, that no one can see!

Sling is $35 per month. That might be a bargain considering all of the Cal games that will be on the Pac 12 network this year.
