Cal Women's Tennis vs. Texas A&M is down to the 3rd set of No.6 singles between Cal's Hannah Viller Moeller and Texas A&M's Jeanette Mireles. Hannah just went up 3-1 in the 3rd set by only playing defensively (lobbing back shots after shots in many points went included ~20 shots) until her opponent made the error. I have watched for the past 30 minutes and can only recall her hitting two winners while winning 6 of the past 8 games.
3-4 after losing the service game. Hannah was able to battle back from 15-40 to force the deciding point but Texas A&M has gone ahead in this dual by winning that point.
4-4. Hannah earns the break on a deciding point as the Texas A&M freshman's return sails just long. Holding serve is definitely not a given, but maybe the momentum of this match is changing again.
5-4. Hannah saved two break points to take the lead again after winning on the deciding point of the game. A potential mishit worked like a charm (a good drop shot).
Maybe I am just being overly optimistic about Kyana George's injury. I do see College Gym News late last year saying she's "likely out for the season" though. I have not talked to the Howells (yet) this season (and coaches often do not talk about injuries), but I do think Cal' got enough depth than in the past to cover for the extended absence of a lineup stalwart like George. It is very plausible that you know more about her situation than me.

3-3 now. Viller Moeller lost her service game on a deciding point and Mireles was able to hold for the tie after back-to-back winners.

Deciding point...
The long rally goes to Texas A&M on a winner down the line. Hannah could have been more aggressive at one point but played her defensive game.
5-5
Wow an “Olympic sports” trifecta!
I’m hoping to go to the gymnastics meet
I had heard George was out for the season, but your article implies she might return this year?
