Thanks Bradrick. But I wonder if he finished his master's degree in one year? Why transfer in for one season and then opt-out? Maybe there is something going on with Musgrave which is driving the kids away?

I don't think we have a inordinate amount of players transferring compared to other schools. Especially with the eligibility waiver this year, the transfer portal was expected to be bigger than ever. Ours is skewed on the offense, part of that is depth chart, part of that is going to be coincidence. It seems like Polk is the only clear red flag, but in my biased mind I don't think he made a good decision.

He earned his second master's degree (Public Policy). He may have gotten some requisite work done at Wisconsin for his first master's degree. It's not like he knew he'd dislike Musgrave's system before the season and therefore signed up for enough credits so he could signal to the world his impending unhappiness half a year later. He was coming in as a sixth year senior with an exemption, saw this as a way to have one last hurrah because of the injuries in his career. I think he was always going to be a one and done for us. And with the Covid exemption, he's keeping his options open for some small school to give him his first year of his doctorate for free.

Might as well go for that doctorate on scholarship. That's a wise choice.
