I know we say this every year, but with this ridiculous mess of a season, if we win Big Game, I really will be fine if we lose the rest of them. There's nothing to play for but pride, and all I want this year is to keep the Axe.

Beat Furd on Friday and I'll happily say this sh!tshow of a season is a success. But then of course I'll get greedy and want to beat the Ducks too, but first things first.

<Asterisk> This season</Asterisk>

I'm looking forward to next season when we won't dig ourselves into a deep hole, at least I hope.

Regular, un-interrupted practice time with the new coordinators/coaching staff would really help this team.

I really doubt that Cal is the worst team in the Pac12, but maybe they're having the worst season in the Pac12. Being the worst and having the worst season do not always go together. Would you be that surprised if Cal kicks butt over the remainder of the season? I might be a bit surprised, but not shocked.

call me an old blue, but I think I've come to the painful realization that we are perennially going to be a sucky team, with episodes of irregularity (2004 maybe?, 2006...) once or twice in a decade.

Unfortunately, we've used up a more of the allotted once/twice per decade goodness in the 2000s. 2010s all sucked. 2020s are not off to a great start.

Stanford doesn’t look too hot on this chart either, so I’m hopeful that we can get a Big Game win streak going. Anything else this year is just gravy.

Sounds about right. I don’t really care that much because this season doesn’t really mean much but I will admit to being somewhat disappointed due to the amount of returning starters and experience that we have right now.

Don't care. All I care about is guys staying healthy and having fun. Beating Furd would be fun, of course, but whatever. Just don't want this season to hurt recruiting and morale, too much anyway.

This is a good point. Unfortunately, the guys probably aren't having much fun after two dreadful performances, and Saffell joining Chris Brown & Maldonado on the sideline with injuries, coupled with the COVID-related issues, it doesn't look like they're very healthy either. Ugh....they SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING...I blame Ohio State.

Home games are largely meaningless this season due to fans not allowed to attend games.
