Cal picked to finished 9th in the Pac-12 football preseason media poll
Expectations for the California Golden Bears are fairly low going into 2023.
Not much is expected of the California Golden Bears in 2023. Pac-12 Media Day is today, and Cal stands in 9th place among the media preseason pickers in the conference. The Bears fall slightly behind Washington State and Arizona, edge out ASU, with Colorado and Stanford bringing up the rear.
USC was picked to win the Pac-12 with 25 of the 36 first place votes. Washington was 2nd with four first place votes, Utah was 3rd (but managed more first place votes with 6). Oregon 4th (1 first place vote).
Write for California will have a more thorough write up of all that transpired at Pac-12 Media Day throughout this week and next.

We are going to win more games than we lose this year. and it is going to be fun to watch football.
An exciting offense and a solid defense. Thats all I got right now. Go Bears!
Four wins is the ceiling for this team (4-8). Contrary to what others may believe, I don't think this team is better than last year's team, and the rest of the conference has improved.
I hope I am wrong; Go Bears.
