He should be pretty good if he can just put on some more weight.

Good morning! Do you like pancakes🥞?

Here is a nearly five-minute stack of Rogers beating up people.

Great! Without a good O line an offense cannot be very proficient. QB protection is so important as is run blocking. All this seems so simple and most fans don't watch the O line during live play. They just watch the ball and who has it and what they are. doing with it.

Man it seems like we might have some real hogs next season

247 has him listed at 382 lbs. As a tackle, not a guard. Not sure if he slimmed down or bulked up but if he can move at that size...whew.

Great insight on Cal’s offensive line momentum with this commitment. Roger Vanderhoef’s transition from a Sacramento State pledge to Berkeley underscores how responsive Cal’s staff has been this cycle in addressing frontline needs, particularly in the trenches.

What stands out most to me here is the continuity in building a physical identity up front.

Curious what others think about where Vanderhoef’s development curve could take him — starter by year two, or more of a rotational project with late-game impact early on?

I'm a bit surprised Tosh used a scholly on this kid. He was not highly recruited ~ Sac State isn't a juggernaut. Perhaps he develops in 2 - 3 years but by then, if everything goes according to plan, he will be recruited over and never see the field.

Or if everything goes according to plan he is an absolute beast, all-ACC and we are proud to have him on the team. Be careful judging someone by their stars before they hit the field. A lot of the guys hopping around the portal to three schools in three years are highly rated high school recruits that haven’t produced on the field.

Should mimic what Mike Macdonald is doing with Seahawks…trenches especially D line and team speed across the board.

Love your angle! Every coach in the world would be wise to try and mimic what coach is doing in Seattle.

I'd love for him to develop into a monster.. could be one of the first building blocks of what Tosh creates long term with great+smart local high school recruiting

I am in complete agreement with you there. There is plenty of under the radar talent in state that if he can keep in house, would be huge for the program.

Ha! Timely reference from a [checks notes]... 40-year-old movie.

Ouch, so much for that theory. Have a good rest of your weekend man!
