There's very little of substance in the 'alliance' announcement, but I am intrigued at the possibility that the Pac, B1G, and ACC step into the leadership void left behind by an imploding NCAA. If this alliance could, say, take over the bowl system so that revenue goes to schools and not to random yahoos in bowl host cities, that would be a great start.
