Championship Friday live chat: Is the Cal bowl opponent in the MWC title game?
Boise State or UNLV could be playing the Bears in a matter of weeks.
The Mountain West Championship will take place today between the Boise State Broncos and the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. The winner is likely on their way to the College Football Playoff, and could earn a first round bye depending on how the Big 12 title game shakes out.
The loser…could be taking on the California Golden Bears in SoFi Stadium in the Gronk Bowl in Los Angeles (as many are projecting). Those are pretty drastic deltas in terms of outcomes.
Watch this with us and figure out who Cal could potentially match up better with if they are picked!

Awkward if Marrion did become our new OC... before the bowl with UNLV.
Not surprised no one is on this. Friday night and it really does not matter who We play. Just the location is the key . Hopefully Louisiana is not the place. For people who can afford it and have time off Las Vegas or LA will be much more convenient. Even though Boise has had a great year , they do not deserve a 4th seed bye. They do deserve a home game . If they do, whomever they play will have a tough time and game. Playing on that Blue turf probably is a rough adjustment plus the weather could be a big factor especially if they play someone from the SEC who are not use to be playing in the cold and possible snow.
