What about the scholarship cap per sport? Effect on recruiting? (When the ncaa allowed sports from last spring an extra season, where was no extra money or relief on the scholarship limits.) What will football do with 15-20 new recruits, all walk-ons or pull schollies from bench players? (yeah, I get that p12 prohibits pulling a scholly, but you can bet that Saban will do it.)

Feel sorry for the guys, but not a practical idea. It's forcing the Unis to come up with even more money.

I don't see scholarship offers being rescinded at this point.

My bad; the whole P5 group agreed not to pull schollies for performance from anyone who signed a NLI. So even Saban is limited, but he can still pull a scholly from a walk-on (who earned it later). Still, the additional year would just exacerbate any financial issues with the athletic department (hint-hint).

The proposal being discussed mentions underclassmen would count against roster and scholarship limits but seniors wouldn't.
