Why would anyone decommit from a Wilcox defense to go to a Dykes defense?

Gotta be the chicken spaghetti because it's certainly not the results.

That's a really good point.

It’s closer to home for him, Dykes can sale that he has an eye for NFL caliber talent, early playing time (we do have depth at this position), less academic challenges at TCU.

Mission Hills, CA is closer to TCU than Berkeley?

LOL, I got him mixed up with Curlee Thomas, who is in Texas.

We don't want to lose Curlee that's for sure.

Sure seems like the Bears got hit hard by some especially negative recruiting the past few months, probably for a number of reasons.

The upset theme continues after Wilcox rejecting UO!

Choosing to play defense for Sonny Dykes over Justin Wilcox is a definitely a choice.

Ask me if I care. We want players that want to be here and understand how great is the CAL experience. Let him go play for Sonny. He'll be on the field for 45 minutes a game, running his ass of in hot & humid weather.

Unfortunately, this may signal a new round of decommits as Curlee Thomas and Jackson Brown seem to be waffling...

Never a good thing when a player decommits, however, Burrell is higher rated per 24/7 and I would say based on their tapes that Burrell has a higher upside.

That said, one has to question who advised Williams to de-commit from one of the top defenses in the PAC12 with arguably one of the best DL coaches in the country? And don't tell me it was God..

Either way it opens up a spot for a kid in the transfer portal, so if used properly is a win-win for Cal.

We can discount the effects of his decommittment all we want, but a bird in the hand.....

I remember getting excited when he "committed" as a start to what I hoped would be a great class. I gotta stop getting so excited until after signing day, dammit....
