Bacon’s Rebellion was an armed rebellion held by Virginia settlers from 1676 to the following year. It was led by Nathaniel Bacon against Governor William Berkeley. It was the first armed rebellion in the North American colonies. I also learned that some loyalist troops got stoned on Jimsonweed while battling Bacon’s forces.
