I think Helton should be in the Hall of very good. Beltré obviously is 1st ballot. Mauer, probably isn't 1st ballot but I think would still make it.
I also don't think Wagner should make it, since he probably will make it next year.
2025 will be interesting because Ichiro will be first ballot. I don't think anyone else, other than maybe Pedroia, will make it at all. I don't think many of them will get the 5% required to stay on the ballot. So I think you'll probably see Billy Wagner make the jump. I don't think Sheffield or Andruw Jones will make a big enough jump to get in next year.
I don't know that Helton was an obvious juicer. I wouldn't be surprised either way. For me it's just that ballpark--especially during his tenure--that makes his accomplishments so difficult to put into context. I do find it hard to believe he was better ballplayer than Sheffield, and I suspect his MLB colleagues would agree.

I’m ok with Mauer. If a DH who juiced is a 1st ballot guy, a Gold Globe catcher with a batting title and MVP absolutely should be too.
Yeah I don’t feel Helton, seems obviously a juicer
I was talking about Ortiz last year as a 1st ballot guy.
I’m 100% cool with Helton, even with the park. His road splits were solid enough - plus he’s a franchise icon. No issues there.

For context, Sheffield has a 60 WAR to Helton's 61.5 w/o the obviously enormous ballpark advantage.
Sheff should be in, too, IMO. A fearsome hitter for a decade plus.
Extra points for having the most badass looking swing ever
Just ferocious.
I do understand the arguments against Sheff…just think they’re kind of a stretch given the guys that have gotten the call, especially recently.
Wasn't he named in the Mitchell Report? Or maybe the followup one.
Ya he had PED ties.
