my previous startup that got acquired last year is doing something of a Leap Day reunion celebration in NYC tonight that i am missing because i just flew off for my ski trip.
i was very tempted to rearrange my trip because of the occasion though. in the end the logistics were too challenging.
i started at the company as the 30th employee and stayed until we were about 200 over the course of the next 3 yrs. i have had fun jobs over the years. this one was definitely a highlight in terms of a good group, good times, and good work. these things never last forever. i am glad to have had a good moment while it was possible.
i am still easily friends and very friendly w/ 50-100 of those people. not that they would have all been there tonight ..
