Go Bears!!!

That article reminds me of the beanie worn by students. My great aunt left to me the beanie she wore as a student at Cal during the Wonder Team years. Blue on one side, gold on the other. Reversible, even.

[MGOLF] The bad news is that Cal finished in 10th place, 32 strokes off ASU's lead + Stanfurd beat us by two strokes.

The good news is that we're not Columbia, which was 87 strokes behind second to last place team.

OUR CRUMBLING DEMOCRACY

RFK Jr says he qualifies for the Nevada ballot. Biden won by fewer than 40k votes in 2020 in Nevada. Polls indicate that RFK Jr would siphon one percentage point more from Biden than Trump, which may swing the state to Trump.

What makes you unreasonably agitated/anxious?

SGBear's avatar

I hate to ask for things that are a bit of an imposition. I have no problem sending an incorrect dish back at a restaurant, but I wouldn't dare ask to cut in line at the grocery store.

Sounds like me. To the contrary, if I see someone behind me in line with just a couple items I’ll ask if they want to go first.

Our Crumbling Democracy....maybe not unreasonable, but definitely the area of of most anxiety for me.

Also, being around folks who lack critical thinking skills. Having grown up around people who tend to blame unknown force for their fate in life, I have a very low tolerance for such things as government conspiracy theories, astrology, hoaxes, and the like.

People having cell phone conversations in public places like busses or on line at the grocery store.

The number of people talking on speaker phone with the phone next to their heads is way too high

I learned that platinum exists thanks to Dungeon's & Dragons. All I knew is that it is 5x more valuable than gold.

OSKI DISCIPLE’S TRIVA FUN, A DAILY DBD FEATURE

The musical “Hello Dolly” was originally to be about a small ornamental paper with a lace pattern and was to be called “Hello Doily.”

(All trivia verified by the International Trivia Foundation.)

I would still have loved to watch/hear Carol Channing sing "Hello Doily", "World, take my lace", and "Before the Child Labor Ornamental Fabric Workers Pass By".

The following is what happens when you have a decent-to-good memory and you spent hours reading Mad magazine. I had to google the lyrics, because I couldn't remember them all. But I did remember the title and the first verse.

HELLO DELI (sung to the tune of Hello, Dolly!)

Hello Deli,

this is Joe, Deli

would you please send up

a nice corned beef on rye.

A box of RITZ, Deli

and some Schlitz, Deli

Some chopped liver

and a sliver or your, apple pie.

Turkey Legs, Deli

hard boiled eggs, Deli

and a plate of those potatoes you french fry, oh

Don't be late, Deli

I just can't wait Deli,

Deli without breakfast, I'd just die.

Dillon Doiley is a nerdy Archie comics character with an IQ of 198.

He had a major role in rescuing Archie from being stuck in a black and white television. A precursor of WandaVision.
