I would love to ditch YouTube TV since it is easily the most expensive. But, believe it or not, Mrs Slug insists that we still need ESPN and the NBC Sports channels. Given that the MLB regular season and the NBA Playoffs are fast approaching, I am at a disadvantage in making a counter argument.

That's 115 characters, including spaces. The form flashed that the response contained an invalid field length or some such nonsense. So, I made it valid. I simply responded, "Fuck off."
I really don't like that response, either. So I wrote to updates@go.calbears.com to explain my terse and vulgar response. And now I'm still grumpy because I dislike being nasty and confrontational.
I got that same Big Give email and was completely turned off by the unfortunate timing of sending it out right after we lost yesterday and after the football and bball seasons we just had.
Didn't Knowlton also ask for money after the loss to Colorado or some other nasty football game loss? These guys have the timing and the tone deafness of an old man yelling at the clouds.

First year they hadn't used their BB tickets for various reasons. Said next year they'll start going again but I got first dibs on the tickets they couldn't go to. I said this was the first year I didn't go to any games since moving back and I was OK with that. Didn't miss much.
Bottom line is don't leave your revenue sports hires up to consultants. If you can't perform this essential task, you need to form a committee of interested major donors and get the fuck out of the way.

He was actually pretty good at Buffalo and I was excited he was transferring to Cal due to his experience and performance with Buffalo.
He was still better than anyone else we had on the roster, so I think it was a good move to get him, even if it was only to get Keenan Allen here.

Hmm, looks like I'm also slightly wrong in that Pepperdine is not Catholic, though they are Christian. Also I forgot that Pacific had joined them too (they are methodist).
The other member schools outside of those and BYU are Catholic, though.
