Late 80's I did contract forestry work on a PNW Indian reservation. Could not help but get in tune with life on rez. There was a tribal policeman they called "Shogun". Now, he happened to be of Japanese descent. I asked why they him called that. "Well, it's really "show gun" because when he first started he pulled his gun too often on routine stops.
Randy Bennett to ASU is maybe a little bit surprising. I understand he's got ties to Arizona, and maybe he's concerned that the WCC won't be the same without Gonzaga. But still, he spent 25 years building something at St. Mary's - I figured if he was ever going to leave, he'd have done it 15 years ago.
Siena fans here in Albany want them to make a play for him. I think this is a phenomenal idea. It'd be a pay cut, but presumably, he's not likely to be hired in a major conference after a relatively unproductive tenure in Tempe.
I think he needs to go back to the northeast, where his style of coaching is a better fit. He could turn Siena into a farm team for his brother's UConn program. They're recruiting the same areas, and Bobby could tell kids that if they do well at Siena, Dan will notice at UConn. This could work out well for both programs.
I had a delightful time in Japan, a long time ago. Back when I worked for the YMCA, I went to visit our sister Y and attend an international Y conference. Tokyo has a great energy to it and Kyoto was beautiful, as was the around Mt. Fuji where our sister Y was. Everybody was truly lovely.
Never have I ever been to Japan. However, Cee Jay (eldest son) has been there at least twice that I can think of, once for the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
There are crazy amount of tourists now and with yen so weak it's continuing to go up. Japanese government wants more tourists. It's more than what locals can handle.
That said, I go to Japan at least 3 times every year

I wonder where Bobby Hurley is going to go.

Politics
Hoping a TSA funding agreement and vote can happen today... Airport security lines in Atl have been unreal.
CAL
1500m bronze medalist Cal alum Georgia Bell says track coaches at Berkeley made her do too much mileage.

She says she was pushed by Cal because of the money they invested in her. This was way before NIL so imagine what it would be like now.

I sense a trend. Took me to the fifth row also.
Leave it to Justbear to buck the trend.

Great! Didn't feel so great after three guesses, though I did eliminate 12 letters and determined the one vowel that was in today's word. Bleah!
