I used to not like apple products, and still don't. But when I was employed by the mothership based on Hillsboro I volunteered to learn iOS development so they got me a Macbook Pro. They are great. Best laptop I've ever used. Best hinges that never go floppy. I personally now have a Macbook Pro that also runs Windows in a virtual machine. It's worth the extra money since the design and build quality (except for the bad butterfly keyboard design)
But, I don't like anything else apple. Not paying a premium for an iPhone or iPad.
I have found MacBooks to be very durable. Back in maybe 2016 I was using my old 2012 Air for work while waiting for a customer laptop to be bought - it ran Tableau calculations without breaking a sweat, and the cheap-ass Dell the customer issued which was 4 years newer always felt like it was about to burst into flames for the same task.
same. i have switched over from PCs to Mac laptops for good. they say that even running Linux on a Mac laptop is better, but that would be the only reason not to get a Mac.
on the other hand, it is worth saying that Excel on a Mac is AWFUL!!! i just use Google sheets now and it is fine and dont try to do anything complicated anymore.
Microsoft windows on a Mac is horrible. I have huge 100 MB+ documents that I open up in windows in a Parallels VM. It doesn't update the UI until the entire document has been processed, vs on windows where the UI updates as it's being processed. You can scroll down as it is processed.

For once, however, it wasn’t the starting pitcher’s fault. Ken Waldichuk, whose 6 innings of 3-run ball last week is the reason the A’s aren’t in the midst of a 13-game losing streak. He shut down a very hot Cubs lineup, dealing 5 scoreless, 5-strikeout innings. He also reached 100 pitches again, a godsend for an excessively fatigued bullpen.
Went to the game! My kids loved it, though we are all Cubs fans. We sat by Suzuki in RF and man he is just impressive.
So sad to see the Coliseum devolve to this though. It almost feels like you are visiting the ruins of a past civilization. Only concessions are on the field level infield basically, so a lot of the park has a closed off feeling. Even the mini baseball park near the Stomper fun zone was barricaded. The security guy nearby was apologetic that they hadn’t removed the barricades for the game, and said he’d remove them if we wanted but I told him not to bother. A allegory for the A’s season right there.
My kids and I had tickets up near the left field corner on the 2nd deck (?) and we tried to move to around 3B. They kicked us out after 1/2 an inning. When there were fewer than 10% of the seats taken up there. so maybe out in the OF they don't care but if you try to move inside the bases I guess they care.
I guess I understand, but that's still kind of lame. I remember going to games in the late 60s and the bleachers were gated off from the main part of the stadium until about the seventh inning. (This was pre-Mt Davis.) They usually only had concessions open in either right or left field and I would sit on whatever side of the bleachers was open. Tapatio isn't even that spicy. It's all about the ratio of vinegar to pepper.
For Tapatio the label ingredients are water, red pepper, salt, spices, acetic acid (vinegar).
Crystal hot sauce ingredients are aged red cayenne pepper, distilled vinegar, salt.
Tabasco's label ingredients are vinegar, red pepper, salt.
The higher on the ingredients list is the vinegar, the hotter the hot sauce.
I was introduced to Tabasco by my mother as a kid and that's been the standard for hot sauce from that time forward.
