The Golden Bears and Huskies will be the third game of the day and are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Scottsdale Stadium. Cal wraps up pool play by taking on No. 1 Arizona State on Thursday.

FOLSOM, Calif. тАУ The No. 4 California women's rowing team sat in third place behind Stanford and Washington but still had an opportunity to win the Pac-12 title heading into the final race between the varsity eights at the Pac-12 Championships at Lake Natoma on Sunday afternoon. The V8+ ended up finishing second which gave the Golden Bears enough points (36) to jump into second place in the final standings тАУ their best finish since coming in second at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships.

FOLSOM, Calif. тАУ The No. 4 California Golden Bears men's rowing team put itself in position to come away with its third straight Pac-12 title heading into the varsity eight race, sitting just five points behind Washington but lost a close race to the Huskies to finish in second place overall at the 2024 Pac-12 Championships at Lake Natoma on Sunday afternoon. The Bears finished with 65 points with the freshmen 8+ coming away with the sole win on the day.

BATON ROUGE, La. тАУ The California softball team split a doubleheader at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional as its postseason run came to an end with a 3-2 loss to Southern Illinois on Saturday night at Tiger Park.

Acacia Anders recorded four hits in the two games and Elon Butler hit Cal's 79th home run of the season in the first game of the day, a 15-0, run-rule victory over Jackson State.

After a tremendous outdoor campaign that saw him shatter two meet records and the California track & field men's hammer record, Rowan Hamilton was named the 2024 Pac-12 Men's Field Athlete of the Year on Friday.

Hamilton, a three-time NAIA champion who transferred to Cal this year from British Columbia, won Cal's first conference title in the men's hammer since 1919 at the Pac-12 Championships last weekend. He earned Pac-12 Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors twice, once after taking this year's collegiate lead with a mark of 77.16m (253-2) тАУ the eighth best by a collegian all time тАУ and again after breaking the Big Meet record on April 30.

Seven current and former members of the California men's rowing team will look to punch their ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games when they compete at the 2024 World Rowing Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland, May 19-21. This marks the last chance rowers will have to qualify for the Olympics. A total of 183 crews will be competing for 30 remaining spots. In order to qualify a boat will have to finish in the top two of its event.

California baseball junior Caleb Lomavita's stellar 2024 season continues to earn recognition among the nation's top players as he was named a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Thursday.

The Dick Howser Trophy, presented by The Game Headwear, is given in memory of the former Florida State All-America shortstop and major league player and manager who died of brain cancer in 1987. The trophy is regarded as baseball's most prestigious award. Criteria for consideration of the trophy include performance on the field, leadership, moral character and courage тАУ all qualities that were exemplified by Dick Howser's life.

It's often said a Cal hat or Cal shirt can provoke a "Go Bears" anywhere in the world.

That apparently includes an NFL training camp on the other side of the country.

Track & field's Adriana Ellard and Lacrosse's Kalena Johnson had the unique experience of interning for the Washington Commanders last summer. The opportunity came about thanks to the generosity of Ron and Stephanie Rivera, a proud Golden Bear couple that sought to help the Cameron Institute provide career exposure for Cal student-athletes.
