Welcome to the DBD, a W4C community board where one can talk about pretty much anything, like…
Trypophobia is an aversion to the sight of repetitive patterns or clusters of small holes. Most affected people experience mainly disgust when they see trypophobic imagery. Good examples are blackheads, honeycomb, or the tiny holes in bones.
This is a Surinam Toad. I learned about it yesterday.
I had a coworker from there. Also there are apparently lots of ethnic chinese living there that moved there a long time ago. I went to his birthday party and there was an elderly couple speaking dutch to him. It was strange.
Robert Costello was TFG counsel's final witness before resting. Not only did his testimony not go well (Judge Marchan tore him a new one), but evidence found during discovery showed that Costello was a conspirator to cover up the whole thing including his acknowledgement that it was against the law and he knew it -- via his own emails.
[Semafor] Peter Navarro gives a sneak preview into his book and some of the things he'll recommend to the second Trump administration if he's reseated as the Director of Trade. If you know anything about economics, it is off the wall bananas. And if you know TFG, you can see why he is liked - because it is tough-guy bullshit that has zero to do with trade and everything to do with power, punishment, and weirdly misguided machismo. If TFG gets re-elected, the global economy is going to take a kick to the nards.
What amazes me about Trump is that *some* of his appointees were people who exercised intellect and reason and *some* of them actually did try to dissuade him from taking harmful action. That's not to say they were successful, because TFG still did stupid ish and we have to pay for it (exhibits A, B, and C are Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett). TFG also attempted an autogolpe (a self-coup) that we know as January 6th. And yet his VP, someone that TFG chose to be VP, played a critical role in thwarting that attempt.
Cops say they a) have no body-cam video from the arrest of #1 golfer Scottie Sheffler because the camera was mysteriously not turned on, b) do have evidence from a camera across the street, and c) are absolutely making this about justice and not about beating down a citizen who dared to not respect their authority
Jaylen Brown hits a ridiculous 3 from the corner to send game to OT and Celtics win.
To be fair, the Pacers bumbled a bit down the stretch that even allowed for the possibility of that 3 to make a difference.
probably the most impressive thing is that the Pacers were not terribly over-matched. they fell behind a couple time by 10 pts or so and came back each time. my guess is that it will be a long tough series for Boston.
Cal gets the commitment of Ike Okafor - a DT from Houston. While he doesn't have any stars now, I suspect he'll be a three star when all is said and done.

all the people on Jeopardy Masters are looking to start podcasts too. i guess that is at least a couple steps up from "influencer" where you dont necessarily have to have any coherent thoughts.
I just started watching Jeopardy Masters yesterday and was surprised to see that one of the contestants was somebody I used to compete with (and occasionally beat 😎) in quiz bowl!
had not considered that this was a thing to be a afraid of. i wonder if it is associated with things like having been a bee in a former life and trapped inside a hive that you couldnt get out of?
Suriname
Nice! How Clarice Starling and that awful Jack Crawford caught Buffalo Bill (aka Jame Gumb, or Jamie Gumb/John Grant/Jack Gordon)….
had to look up exactly where in S America that was ..

official language is Dutch
Yup. There are quite a few Suriname-ians on the Dutch national team.

This just feels like JV compared to the West. C’s really need Porzingis back if they want to be competitive with Minnesota
i feel like Celtics could win it all. they have a solid team w/ all the right parts.
They can if Porzingis is healthy. I don’t think they have the horses to do it if he isn’t, but supposedly he will be back by game 4 of the ECF
