There was a runner on second with one out when K-Rod relieved Justin Speier in the ninth inning of Game 2. Rodriguez quickly put away Kevin Youkilis by sending him down swinging and then intentionally walked Ortiz to get to Ramirez.
By the time Manny stepped to the plate he had already determined what he was looking for. It came on a 1-0 count, a fastball that Rodriguez tried to sneak inside. Ramirez turned on the pitch and crushed a towering shot over the Green Monster for a walk-off home run.

Watched Kleo on Netflix, a perfectly fun late Cold War series (East German "off the books" assassin gets jailed right before the fall of the Berlin Wall, gets released, decides to find out why she was jailed, mayhem ensues). There was nothing original about it, but it was well done and the lead actress (Jella Haase) was good. The reviews mentioned Killing Eve as an analog, but I haven't seen that, so I can't comment. They plainly left open the chance of a second season, so I'll be curious to see if that comes to fruition.

At Candlestick, the visiting team had to walk out towards right field to get to the visiting clubhouse. I watched LaSorda and the losing pitcher walk past us on the first base side and you could see that Tommy was liberally sprinkling his speech with F-bombs.

Chase Garbers has the more symmetric face to be judged as more hansom? I recall some study from over a decade ago about how QBs, particularly backup IIRC, are often correlated with facial symmetry.
I'm sure he lacks pure talent compared to other QBs in the NFL but I hope with proper coaching and his smartness he can stick around and actually play well if he sees the field.
