I'm flying to Budapest this Sunday for work. Suggest a couple of movies to watch on the plane. I've also got the first season of The Bear downloaded and I just watched Fast X.
I was thinking of downloading the new Indiana Jones.
is similar to ice hockey, but players wear special broomball shoes instead of skates, and strike a ball instead of a puck using a modified broomstick instead of a hockey stick. A young Mr. CG played broomball when he lived in MN; "I wasn't good enough to play real hockey".
Have had to cut back some recently due to a hamstring/glute issue. I'm back close to forty miles a week but still going a bit slower to avoid a relapse. Normal is about fifty a week.
I can't remember the last time I bought eggs. We have three chickens and they produce enough eggs that we're constantly overloaded and giving them away to neighbors.
I am at the Outer Banks. We hate-watched S1E1 of "Outer Banks" on Netflix. For people from North Carolina, many elements of the show are laughably incorrect - except that people who live on the South Side of OBX are indeed called "Pogues".
An Auburn alum asked what food should represent Cal at their tailgate. What would you pick? Suggestions included pizza, sausages, and mission-style burritos.
I have never sat in my assigned seats. Our group is always over near the band in the student overflow section. I think as long as it isn't super packed, they don't care.
Thanks. Well then I should buy cheaper tickets in the north endzone next time.
I always like to sit near the band and young alum section too. It's the most fun. or I might join the W4C/DBD group for the first time since I won't be going with my friend this time.
All reactionaries are paper tigers. In appearance, the reactionaries are terrifying, but in reality, they are not so powerful. From a long-term point of view, it is not the reactionaries but the people who are powerful - Mao Zedong
On this day in 1991 in Memorial Stadium, the Golden Bears defeated UOP 86-24. The 86 points are the most points Cal has scored in a game in Memorial Stadium. DBD celebrates 100 years of football in Strawberry Canyon with this daily feature appearing throughout the football season.
Mrs Slug was at the San Mateo Jazz Festival (San Mateo County Fairgrounds) with her mom and dad (both Cal alums). The next day I met up with them and I brought along the Sunday sports section from Brand X (which is what Herb Caen called the SF Examiner). The score was plastered across the top of the front page in a banner headline. My mother-in-law's jaw dropped when she saw it. Mrs Slug was impressed.

Probably should've put this request under DBD AV Club.
Also if anyone has food or things to see ideas. I've got most nights to eat and walk around and also all of Sat before I fly back on Sun.

Pros
Jared Goff and Marvin Jones lead the Detroit Lions against the Kansas City Chiefs in tonight's NFL season opener
Apparently Jones is the oldest wide receiver in the NFL.
Keeping that title alive for Cal players after DeSean Jackson held it for the last couple seasons
And DeSean might regain it if he comes back mid season, but he's likely done.
Running
Was a runner for decades, had to retire from it a few years ago due to chronic knee issues . Must satisfy myself on the stair master and elliptical.
kinky

Damn! I do about 15 - 20 and Pat myself on the back!
Dude! That's still very good!!!
Seriously. That's not far off from how many miles I bike per week
Eggs
Green eggs and ham. Loved art as a kid and loved reading it to my children when they were wee ones.

Our flock of 6 is aging out, it seems. Egg production is down to 3 eggs per day (typical); it'll go to zero probably later this month after molting.
In the meantime, we enjoy having fresh eggs.

What about Madyline Cline though? (I loved her in Glass Onion)

Cheeseboard, Top Dog, and Gordo
Anyone looking for Auburn tickets? Had 2 bail so we have 2 tickets. $40 each.
I have something to give away, a hat, but I'm not sure where it is.
Free hat (after Cugel finds it) when you buy the tickets! :)
What section?
AA row 43.
North End Zone, above the vomitory to the Main Concourse.
Thanks. I just bought QQ the other day but it was 2x as expensive, but I will stick with my ticket.
How strict are they with sitting in your purchased section? I haven't been back at the Memorial in a few years.

Which, in normal circumstances is right but it's going to be close to sold out on Saturday

Mao - My cat.
gtfo, I also have a cat named Mao!
Maybe it's a Berkeley thing. Earlier this spring I saw a list cat poster. The lost cat's name was Mao.

Watched that game from the North end zone…what a delight.
watched that game from the south end zone...what a delight
Watched that game from the band seats. What a delight.
I was in the student section. What a delight.
