Roe gives it a briny fresh-ocean dimension that other bisques don't have. And Charleston is the center of Southern cuisine. So having the best she-crab soup in Charleston is a big deal.
In the Bay Area, or at least East Bay, World Famous HotBoys for Nashville Hot Chicken. It's where San Pablo ends by City Hall. Phenomenal. There is one in Sac and WC.
My friend in Sac says there is one place that is Nashville Hot Chicken with waffles and maple syrup that is very good. I need to go up and visit him and try it.
