I appreciated reading this thread https://twitter.com/GraceHadassah/status/1579609765839515650?s=20&t=cN-Wg-Qe9Z6JEDhenfCozQ

@GraceHadassah: I, a cis woman, received gender affirming care when I was 14. I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on the same androgen blockers and estrogen trans women take, for body and facial hair and to regulate my period. This continued until I was 33, and found out I was misdiagnosed. 🧵

Speaking of landscaping. I need some advice because my wife and I have a minor disagreement on backyard landscaping. We live in San Diego and the drought it terrible so I want to remove our grass in our backyard and install fake grass. She is against it and wants to keep the real grass, her reasoning being that fake grass is just as bad for the environmental as real grass.

She has also recommended just going with a desert or xeriscape and putting in DG.

I wouldn’t mind a DG/xeriscape but we have two small kids (4 and 2) and they play in the backyard a lot because it is a backyard and we have a kids swing set, hence why I want the fake grass.

What say you DBD? What would you do if you had two small kids and lived in San Diego and dealing with climate change.
