I recently finished season 2 of Stranger Things. Wow the last few episodes of the season were so good. I wonder if that was the peak since I heard season 4 wasn't nearly as good and just saw season 5 will be the last one.
To me, Seasons 2 and 3 increasingly start to feel like wheel-spinning, like they're just piling on more 80s horror references without any thought to how anything connects. Season 4 actually pulls the mythology together in a pretty satisfying way (IMO).
Season 2 definitely mimics Season 1 to a noticeable degree but I still found it fun and exciting. Season 3 was a waste of a concept. And Season 4 was easily better than both despite sometimes struggling under the size of its cast.
i like the very traditional kind where after a couple minutes the chocolate starts sticking to the wrapper and your fingers. the only way to fix it is to lick you fingers clean!
that is usually what i get when the ice cream truck comes by the neighborhood.
After you said you got like a case of It's-Its from Groupon, it made me want one - but there aren't any out here in NC. So I bought some rando brand ice cream cookie sandwich and it did not fill the It's-It sized hole in my soul.
As an homage to Scootie & hag, I did try the mint chip flavored It's-It on one of my recent Bay Area visits...while historically I've never been a huge mint chip fan, I nonetheless have found myself having a hankering for that flavor of ice cream in recent years.
That said, I found the mint ice cream flavor to be overpowering whence trying to enjoy the delicious chocolate-covered oatmeal cookie. I was disappointed.
Cappuccino remains my favorite, and is in fact on my Mt. Rushmore of sweets....
I was going to say dental bill. I'm having some pretty major work done, and while it's necessary, I can think of many other ways I'd like to spend the money.
Cal - Ndame for the outright win in triple digits when I thought for sure I had selected point point spread. Did not look close enough on the kiosk screen. Found out after reading ticket at home.
Yeah, I'm such a boring gambler. I'll lose a bit of money and then just give up. Then I just go to get some food and maybe watch games at the sports bar.
When I was in college, I lost three straight $20 hands of blackjack to the dealer just bam bam bam fast. That was so much money to me! Since then I may put a sawbuck on a game to make it more interesting to watch but that is about it. At least the game is 2-3 hours for the money as opposed to literally a few secs.
One caveat to this rule is if I am totally drunk, then who knows
My phone knows "OUR CRUMBLING DEMOCRACY" and "Elsewhere in college" but god forbid I type in my own name. My phone still doesn't know my first or last name and suggests a multitude of other choices.
Cal football trivia fun fact. Sponsored by Circuit City.
The Big Game was not the only last minute victory for the Bears at Memorial Stadium in 1982. Cal beat Oregon that year 10-7 on a 28-yard TD pass from Gale Gilbert to tight end David Lewis with 53 seconds remaining. The Ducks had assumed the lead less than two minutes earlier. The Bears’ fifth interception (two picks were by Kevin Moen who would gain eternal Cal fame a month later) sealed the victory. A Cal defense that held Oregon to 234 total yards was led by linebacker Ron Rivera’s fourteen tackles. Gilbert, Lewis and Rivera all went on to play in the NFL.

What?! Season 4 was so good!
I would rank the seasons 1, 4, 2, 3.
Nah, Season 4 was fun!
Hmm, I like Season 4 more than Season 2.
i heard season 4 was among the better ones also.

Hmm...maybe it was 3 that was bad and 4 was better.
Yeah, I think 3 is the weakest. The weakest parts of 4 (IMO) are because they have to clean up the dangling plot left over from 3.
I quit watching after 3 for this reason. People say S4 was good, but meh.

It's Its
We had these at a tailgate last year. They were not a popular item and we had to throw out a box plus
Probably says more about the clowns at your tailgate than it does about the It’s-It.
;-)
Haven't had one for... decades? I wonder why?
The best
Mint Chip > Chocolate >> Vanilla >>>>>>>> everything else
The It's Its store in Burlingame used to sell chocolate covered oatmeal cookies. They were so good.
After you said you got like a case of It's-Its from Groupon, it made me want one - but there aren't any out here in NC. So I bought some rando brand ice cream cookie sandwich and it did not fill the It's-It sized hole in my soul.

Coffee > Chocolate > Vanilla > everything else > Mint Chip
Toothpaste flavored ice-cream is an abomination against humanity.
mint chip is an abomination
I'm puzzled by this remark. I don't think of toothpaste when eating Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.

Mom would say, think of it as ice-cream flavored toothpaste.
What the fuck
What is the least satisfying way to spend $1,000?
Replacement of a stolen catalytic converter. It'll almost certainly be much more.
Auto repair or dental bill
Donating it to Cal athletics
BOOM. *Mic drop
House repairs. Upgrading is good but spending a chunk of change just to fix something is -- as the kids would say -- a real drag.
This. Buying the same appliance that died is terrible. You spend the money just to end up back at par.
But it's always an upgrade. Shiny, a new feature or two, etc. I don't mind shelling out for a new appliance.
Now, servicing my car is another matter.
surprise medical bill
Increases in tax and insurance bills.

Oh man hard disagree.
Agreed
Probably buying tires (more like $1250).
Water polo
We are good at this, agreed - BUT - it's always been really hard to watch IMO.
And is forever tainted with Montgomery money
Yeeesh.
hahaha, oh man that was WEIRD! last game.

Utah 21-17 over Wazzu. No cam Rising or Thomas.

I mean, what else do you expect him to say? "They really love being out of my conference. Everyone should jump ship!"
Virginia Tech @ NC State. Wolfpack favored by 13.5.
Hokies are BAAAAADDDDDD
Louisiana @ Southern Miss tonight, which should be a good game. Southern MS favored by 1.5
Wazzu unveils limited-edition helmets for tonight's game vs #14 Utah in Pullman. Utah is favored by 7

Eh, this is not an improvement over their usual helmet logo.
Looks good! (Even if the promo clip could use some production work,)
They basically applied our Cal script to Wazzu, which means they are going to coug it so hard tonight.
History has shown that the Cougs don't need Cal's help to Coug it.
They have often helped us out by Cougin' it.
Kind of cool
Finally, some high-quality, weeknight Pac-12 After Dark
Yeah I'll probably tune in

I think people have completely forgotten that Cal basketball exist and that it is in a P5 conference.
There's no current evidence that either is in fact the case.
I think he's making reference to our women's team.
Most recent conference campaigns of 1-12 & 2-10 there don't suggest much to not purge from memory either.
Equal parts bad and irrelevant
Mark Fox is not on the list....
Of course not. With an incompetent AD like Knowlton, Fox has job security
Like Wilcox, Fox will still be getting the COVID excuse in 2034.
There’s a writer here who used the 2010 Cal baseball shutdown to excuse away everything for like 5-6 years

I was at that game.
Fantastic pass play to win it. There's something so much more exciting about a game-winning TD in a 10-7 game than in a 52-49 game.
Also RIP circuit city, I loved that place
