These folks have no shame. Trump campaign spokeswoman argues Trump better equipped than Biden to fight virus because he has first hand experience and Biden doesn't. I guess he's also better equipped to handle sexual abuse since he's a serial abuser.
Once upon a time I had a Granny Smith with lunch almost every day. Now I prefer Fuji. There is a cidery in Virginia that makes an alcoholic cider with Granny Smiths that is very good though.
My old-growth legacy Gravenstein in the front yard produced some awfully good eating apples the last few years. The neighborhood deer will vouch for that.
Also not all honeycrisps are the same. The best, in my opinion, are the squat ones that are not shiny. We had them in Kentucky but the only place I've seen them in the Bay Area is Berkeley Bowl. Maybe it's a regional Honeycrisp.
Also, Berkeley Bowl has Taylor Gold pears, which are similar in taste to Comice Pears. Didn't see them in other markets around here other than Berkeley Bowl. Berkeley Bowl has the best, most diverse produce.
I haven't been there in probably 20 years. I may have to go check it out. Is it like Berkeley bowl without the crowds? Although due to the pandemic it isn't as crowded as it used to be.
I haven't been in about 13 years, since I moved from Berkeley. It was crowded back then. But, with a limited offering of other grocery products outside of produce, it was quite easy to get in and out quickly as it isn't anywhere near the size of Berkeley Bowl.
time to record a facebook live honking your horn and swearing at the maga's blocking the road, with your about to give birth teen in the car. something they can relate to.
A series of nice fall days, possibly the last sustained run of such this year, but the morning fog & clouds have not been clearing until pretty late in the afternoon. Absolutely glorious ends to the last few days though.
Police evicted the SMU student section for not following mask or distancing protocols. Not sure showering Memphis players with beer wasn't a factor as well. But then copious quantities of beer in the student section has led to issues before, so probably shouldn't read too much into it this time.
Looking at the crowd in OU Iowa state, there weren't that many in the stands, but they were in clumps, not really spread out, not really wearing masks...
I know that some schools have students in some large pods...IF those students are all from the same dorm, maybe it was okay. But that was more likely just the school being rather cavalier about the COVID protocols.
I'm a little surprised the police kicked the students out. I know it's the rules but It's Texas so I'm surprised. I wonder if they'll try to allow students into the next game because you know there will be students that try to do the same thing.
Iowa St. didn't appear to be observing social distance protocols all that well. But then I'm sure some of them were perfectly willing to die, not just risk getting sick, to beat (& witness beating) Ok in Iowa City.
you mean Lincoln Riley isn't the greatest coach ion the history of the universe? Also, Blow U sucks and anyone who thinks otherwise should be put in a rocket and fired off to the moon
Only took 8 days for Mississippi State to get the full breadth of the Mike Leach experience. It some times took the Cougs a month or more to cover that much ground.
So, because I rarely watch or listen to the news, I never thought about how McEnany is pronounced. I've been hearing it recently, and the cadence reminds me of cockamamie, which is certainly apt.
Thomas's statement denying certiorari is startling. If Thomas' views were adopted, the precedence would turn our democracy into a theocracy. Taken to its absurd conclusion, all other rights, unless specifically numerated in the Constitution, must yield to "sincerely held religious beliefs," otherwise the holder of that belief is a "victim."
Other than the opening TD drive and that highlight above, the Rams offense looked pretty miserable yesterday. It felt like every play was a screen pass for a 2-yard gain.

Kayleigh is positive.
GOP Barbie got it.
Peppy even!
Oh.
Would be hilarious if Kamala Harris does the debate behind a plexiglass shield, similar to the SC candidate that ran against Lindsay Graham.
Politico says this is actually the decision
nice!
and turns a big UV light on Pence.
ha..that would be funny. Add in a black light and watch him glow.
We are at about 210k deaths from this virus in the US.
This means we will pass the combat death level from the Civil War this week.
We are on pace to reach WW2 combat deaths near the end of this year.
And we may be at the Arlington National Cemetary level in early Q2 of next year.
The reality TV show continues, non-stop.

A restaurant in N. Oakland.
Apples
Honeycrisp or Pink Lady. Fuji, Gala, Braeburn used to be in favor but have not found good ones in a while.
Never love them before...and even less now that I developed an adult allergy to them if raw.
MacBook, iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac, Macintosh . . . Newton.
ew. no.
Honeycrisp > Fuji >> everything else
Fuji > Granny Smith
Once upon a time I had a Granny Smith with lunch almost every day. Now I prefer Fuji. There is a cidery in Virginia that makes an alcoholic cider with Granny Smiths that is very good though.
Galas are the best all-arounders in my opinion. I am not a fan of Honeycrisps at all.
My old-growth legacy Gravenstein in the front yard produced some awfully good eating apples the last few years. The neighborhood deer will vouch for that.
depends what you are doing with them. Gravenstein, Granny Smiths for cooking/baking.
Mcintosh is the king of baking apples for me.
This.
True. I just meant for eating.
Pink Lady is right up there with HC and Fuji.
Agreed.
I always preferred Monterey Market for the down-home, no frills experience: Like a produce stand on steroids.
I haven't been there in probably 20 years. I may have to go check it out. Is it like Berkeley bowl without the crowds? Although due to the pandemic it isn't as crowded as it used to be.
Plus you can get pizza nearby https://www.gioiapizzeria.com/

Dexie's Methazonight Runners
The local po-po had to close the main road in front of Walter Reid on Saturday night because of an excess of adulatory Trumpistas
I looked in vain for media commentators complaining about disruptions of local residents’ routine.
I suspect local residents anywhere near DC (the city, not the Trojan) are rather used to contrived media circus events, and working around them.
Actually in the twee suburbs we’re used to a better class of reactionary

The real surprise would be to discover that my daughters had decided to renounce their “men are trash / no ‘rona” stance
well, yes. but you could get them to play dress up with a fake pregnancy belly? Just thinking out loud for what looks the most rediculous.
So... Nothing changes?

Actually rain is in the forecast for the Bay Area on Friday and Saturday. An early end to the fire season?
Looks like they aren't forecasting enough rain to "end" the fire season, but . . . it could help a lot.
https://www.sacbee.com/news/weather-news/article246141390.html
I'm not sure how strong the rain is supposed to be. Is it more a Portland drizzle or actual fat drops.
Well, I hope it's significant...
That would be nice. I don't even remember the last day we had significant rain. And it'll help the firefighters.

yeah, I wont say the Ducks are thin yet but they've lost a ton. I think they're beatable this year
Agreed...tho we'll likely miss Bequette and Bynum a fair share
Hope Bynum decides to come back, but I'm not sanguine about it.

Good on them for actually enforcing social distancing and masking guidelines.
Looking at the crowd in OU Iowa state, there weren't that many in the stands, but they were in clumps, not really spread out, not really wearing masks...
