Ron Rivera played football at the University of California, Berkeley, where he led the Golden Bears in tackles as an inside linebacker. For his final season in 1983, Rivera was named a consensus All-American, Pac-10 Defensive Co-Player of the Year. Rivera was drafted by the Chicago Bears, playing for them as a rotational linebacker and special teamer. In 1985, Rivera became the first Puerto Rican-American to win a Super Bowl, as the Bears defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX. IMG Academy played Canadian high school team West Toronto Prep. West Toronto Prep was outscored 195-6 and 0-5 before entering the game. Coming into the game, IMG was 6-1 by outscoring its opponents 326-65. IMG was up 50-0 after Q1 and 96-0 at half. The game was called at halftime.

Stanfurd ran out of running backs. They had to play a QB at RB and the RB from their scout team. Before you gloat, the Cardinal still averaged more yards per carry (2.5) than Cal has in three of the past five games and Cal didn't do great in the other two (2.6 vs. USC, 2.8 vs. Oregon).
This game was similar to the Cal-USC game. Ucla jumped out to a fairly big lead and then ASU scored a few TDs to get it close so ucla responds with a couple of TDs.
We played as vanilla as possible against CU because we didn't want to show them the beautiful plays we have in the playbook that we don't use unless we are playing top flight competition, well, like USC.
After losing yardage on the 3rd down play, Jonathan Smith eschewed a FG from the UW 7, unsuccessfully failing to convert a 4th down run to end a 12-play drive with nothing.
Coaches passing on easy points in games that are expected to be close is baffling to me, regardless of what the goofy analytics say.
I think Smith was hoping to bolt out to a 21-0 lead and then sort of coast against the Dawgs. While they had the momentum and advantage they let UW hang around while they were vulnerable. But the home team came back to snatch the victory.
Smith has built a distressingly long list of games lost that should have been won by chasing points (4th down, 2 pt conversions that predictably fail and leave points on the field) or donating points (reckless 4th down gambles instead of punting) by back-flipping the field.
