What 538 and others may have done is make people think polls are more accurate than they ever really were. I don't blame Nate Silver, because he tries to take every opportunity to tell people that a percentage chance is just that, and results on the "wrong" side of that percentage happen all the time. People see a number like 80% and think that means an 80% chance of a blowout, when really it means an 80% chance of anything from a narrow Biden win to a blowout Biden win. That it came in relatively narrow doesn't make the polling "wrong," if you know how to interpret it.
I pay close attention to this, and you're right about them warning readers that they're only dealing in probabilities, BUT they vastly underestimated the number of repub voters Trump turned out which is why all those "close" Senate races weren't close at all, way outside the margin of error.

Only thing holding me back is that it seems like the AirPods only hold a charge for 5 hours at at time and some of these others can go 8 hours.
I use mine all day. I do pop them back in the case between calls, but they last quite a while (and they recharge very quickly). The case is good for several full recharges, and I only charge my case every couple/few days. Battery life was my main concern, but it hasn't bothered me at all.
I prefer the earbuds as well, though I don't have an iPhone so i don't have AirPods. I don't like the over the air large ones. My sister bought me one of the Bose Noise Cancelling ones for my b-day since I was traveling. I didn't get a chance to try them out since Covid happened. I always get a Matte screen protector. The ArmourSuit Military shield matte ones are the best. They're kinda expensive for the first one but there is a lifetime warranty so when you need another one they'll send it for $1 shipping. And I like the Matte ones because your finger glides over better without sticking to the glossy ones. It does make your screen a little dimmer if that's an issue.

We ordered our cases. They are basically a hard rubber bumper with a clear plastic back. We usually don’t use screen protectors but we decided to use them this time.
