I loved the books and the movies. The movies were just a bit long, especially the end to three. My only real gripe is that The Hobbit could have been 2 movies, but they needed to add a bunch of content/characters to extend it to 3 and get more marketing material.
people who 'love' the books or people who don't like wide plot holes seem to have some negative opinions. especially since the 'hobbit trilogy' abomination.
I prefer the Harry Potter movies to the books. The books get incredibly difficult to read, as they get longer and JK Rowling's sense of prose does not improve over time.
I'm of two minds - the back half of the book series isn't great . . . but some of the movies really miss the point of the books AND Gambon isn't a great Dumbledore.

At the time, my dad was a 230 pound body-building hulk. Making him mad was not advisable. That weenie got his ass lightly beaten amidst the eucalyptus trees and was forced to apologize by the scruff of his neck in front of the tailgate crowd.
It's not like they're opening everything to everyone at 100% clip.
I'm a Texan now and completely fine with the reopening in phases. The phases allow businesses to get back in a safe matter while measuring/shutting off any issues that arise. It's up to the businesses and people if they'd choose to go or not. My choice is to stay home for the time being and allow others to operate as long as it's in the realm of public safety.

One of the local Starbucks standalone stores re-opened today. You can't go inside but they set up a table just inside the doorway to take your order and payment. They marked out Three boxes on the sidewalk for people to stand in while waiting for their drink. Doesn't seem ideal for those of us walking by to go to the store or while exercising.
If he's on the kickoff team, he better hope he has excellent blockers. Otherwise he is going to be steamrolled if he gets anywhere near the kick returner.

17 + the free space...I've never been scared by Oski, I don't have a pet, no photo with the Axe (yet), didn't get to see J-Kidd play live (I was there when Cal retired his jersey) nor met Marshawn (not counting seeing him play at Memorial), and as much as I love Cal sports, I didn't really care for more organized fandom like the Rally Comm nor going to a bonfire rally (I rather go to basketball or volleyball games at the same nights). As for the spaces that I got, I easily did most things there multiple times, including if you count a double major as "graduated from Cal" twice.
I feel like I'm missing some easy ones: scared by Oski, Cal-themed pet, photo with the Axe, Spieker Pool. The other three are tougher to achieve: seeing Jason Kidd, meeting Marshawn, being in Rally Comm.
Hang out in Oakland and you'll meet Marshawn sooner or later. During normal times, he's hanging out at the Beastmode shop lots of times. I have a friend who doesn't follow sports, barely knows who he is, but walks by the store on her way to work and he's given her Skittles before.
I've been by the store a few times. Once his BeastMode Lambo was on the corner of 7th and Broadway, but he wasn't in the store. The skittles vending machine did work so we got a small cup of it.

I liked Master and Commander, haven't read the book though.
