Back from Baltimore Recap: 12 days of a lovely break that I wish I could do again

My takeoff day on June 12th was chaos, with American Airlines f'ing up boarding passes since they changed aircrafts overnight for the flight to Charlotte and the seat alignment was messed up. Left SFO 15 mins late, landed 30 mins early just in front of the predicted monsoon I was worried about. The plane coming to CLT(tried Bojangles chicken for the first time here) enroute to Baltimore was coming from Fort Myers, FL, where Florida weather took over and delayed the plane like 3.5 hours on takeoff. After a gate change, they reroute our inbound aircraft to one flying in from Jamaica, not realizing that crew we needed was on the Fort Myers plane...so by the time they realize it that crew overstayed their stint time so we needed a new flight crew for the plane to BWI. Scheduled for 6:45pm and left at 10:30pm and landed in Baltimore at 11:40pm, almost to the point where I was going to tell my family pick me up in the morning since it was late and they live 30 minutes away with no traffic.

Once I got there: Tried Korean BBQ for the first time in Catonsville, watched my Toronto Blue Jays get completely shit on 7-1 by the damn Orioles (fire Charlie Montoyo btw), visited Towson square and got my first bit of liquor on the trip. Went to Fells Point and the Inner Harbor and bought satirical socks from the Sound Garden record store. Also saw that Under Armour's HQ was right across the water so I visited that campus along with heading to graffiti alley in Baltimore (kind of in a bad part of town) . None of that topples my experience in Philly however, where my family and I stumbled into tickets at the box office an hour before the Nats-Phillies game and ended up seeing Max Scherzer pitch and the infamous check by Girardi and the staredown and ejection that followed. Not to mention it was a good ass game (albeit long) and got my first two authentic philly cheesesteaks (also wore a Denver Nuggets mask to draw dirty looks and get Embiid people in their feelings but it surprisingly did not work).

Way home: Got in the security line at BWI around 6:15AM for a 8:15AM flight, family in front had 7 people (none of which knew what in the hell they were doing) but luckily TSA opened a new line starting with me. Got to the gate at 6:50AM and even left BWI for CLT on time and landed 30 minutes early. Had a 2.5 hr layover instead of 1hr 45 minutes which was great and even had a little breakfast snack in CLT (lines were stupid long). Plane from CLT to SFO was on time and landed 30 minutes early so i was home by the time the plane was scheduled to have arrived, all in all a great trip.
