It's a photo from when he was speaking at the 2013 Winter Television Critics Association (TCA) Tour. Busey attended a JC, then went to Pittsburgh College on a football scholarship in Pittsburgh, KS. He then transferred to Oklahoma State, where he got into acting. He dropped out to pursue acting one class short of graduating. Hence, why this is shown on OSU's home field tinged in orange as distraction. I don't believe it was something that they continued doing.
A good distraction, just took another trip to Colorado, taking the Amtrak California Zephyr out of Emeryville enroute to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Saw the beautiful hot springs, tried Culver's for the first time. Then headed to Denver where I got a Jamal Murray jersey while also watching the Dodgers pummel the lowly Rockies. I rounded it off with my excursion to Boulder, visiting CU and the Pearl Street Mall (Fast Freddie's Hot Dog cart is the way to go) while also heading to Gateway Park and Raising Canes before flying home last night.
Coming home is obviously great, but not so much so when you receive word that your grandmother is on her deathbed and is due anyday (it was bound to happen sooner or later given the conditions but it obviously sucks either way).
USWNT play awful in 3-0 loss to Sweden. Looked slow. Looked old. I think there's a lot of women on the team who got their spot by reputation and not over the last 3 years of play. (Sadly, is one of them Alex Morgan? I dunno. Tobin Heath I think is definitely one)
A different blog or twitter comment said that the USWNT has played with a bunch of smug invulnerability - I think that might be true. USAB until 2002 sort of attitude.
I enjoyed thinking about this for a minute. What is a distraction anyway? Something that keeps from doing things I need to do, like work, or holds me back from doing things I enjoy, like watch baseball. I think DBD is something I enjoy, so it doesn't fit the definition of distraction.
The house across the street getting their foundation fixed, that's a distraction.
I am so glad that they switched to the Greek alphabet naming convention for variants. Not only is it easier but otherwise 25% of Americans would be talking about the "Indian variant" and the fucked up equivalent of "Kung Flu"
The San Francisco Giants could not beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in more dramatic fashion than the Dodgers beat the Giants in on Tuesday. Not because of anything pertaining to the two teams, but because of rules. You can’t walk-off the home team, so the Giants couldn’t match the Dodgers made for TV finish on Tuesday, when Will Smith turned a deficit into a victory with one swing of the bat.
But they certainly did the next best thing.
A day after blowing a ninth inning lead, the Giants entered the ninth inning at Dodger Stadium trailing 2-1. Mike Yastrzemski had homered in the first inning, but since then the Giants had mustered a mere two hits — both of them infield singles. It wasn’t exactly a game where the Giants knocked on the door, and knocked on the door, and knocked on the door, and you hoped that maybe it was a poorly made door that would eventually break under the duress of a knock, which doors are definitely not supposed to do.
I can't see it, nor any Dodger games for that matter, which isn't an issue unless they're playing the Giants...Santa Barbara is technically in the LA market, so the games are blacked out here on Cox, despite having the MLB package. I've been told to get a VPN, but that seems a lot of work for just a handful of games....
are you using vpn on mobile or laptop? On mobile I believe they use the GPS signal so VPN doesn't work. I have better success on laptop using VPN. Or I can give you a site I use when Dodgers games are blacked out on the MLB app.
Bullpens have figured heavily in the first three games of the Dodgers-Giants series. On Wednesday, Kenley Jansen blew his second appearances in a row, allowing a two-run home run to Wilmer Flores in a 4-2 win by San Francisco at Dodger Stadium.
Staked to a one-run lead in the ninth, Jansen allowed a leadoff single to Buster Posey, then three pitches later Flores deposited a cutter into the left field pavilion, turning the game around.
In 15 games from June 1 to the All-Star break, Jansen did not allow an extra-base hit to his 56 batters faced. But in his last two games, including Sunday’s blown save at Coors Field, Jansen has faced 11 batters, allowing three extra-base hits.
“Obviously it’s not a good one today. You’ve just got to shake it off,” Jansen said. “Let it go and get back on that horse tomorrow. That’s pretty much it.”
The meltdown in TAMU land over the possible move of Texas and OU to the SEC is beyond glorious. I have been cackling in glee nonstop for about 15 hours now

There are some interesting Olympic men's soccer scores.
Not specifically Olympics but sort of related. How short should the shorts be?

Heh, if you watched one of the Olympic trials in Oregon recently, they had to pixelate some runner who's dong was flopping about.
I thankfully(?) missed that.

Keeping the old guard around too long would usually be the USMNT move
Not any more! Youth is the thing.

I looked at the roster last night and was surprised to see all people I knew from 10 years ago are still on this team.
Very little new blood.
Distractions
WFC is distraction during my work
oh, besides DBD. Well then anything on internet is my distraction during work.
everything non-cake is a distraction from getting cake
That statement has appealing philosophical simplicity. But it has to be good cake.
Very true. If it's bad cake, pivot to pie. I'm currently making a coconut cream pie for my brother's birthday, mostly following this recipe: https://smittenkitchen.com/2018/04/triple-coconut-cream-pie/

Good point but now Americans won’t be able to call any American variant the Spanish Flu.
Mitch McConnell says everyone should get the vaccine. What was his reason for this? I can't imagine it's because he cares for his constituents.
Because he know the actual truth that dead voters in fact don’t actually vote.
@'Cuz he needs to preserve the GQP obstructionist minority in Congress.@

I watch blacked out games on http://bilasport.net/. Try that out on your laptop or phone. The quality is really good and it works with adblocker.
Kenley Jansen blows second game in a row, Dodgers fall farther behind Giants
