And based on some emails their first name is the same and their last name starts with [MI][first letter of my last name] so I guess it's a brain fart? I usually just ignore and delete them. For the third year in a row, the NC CAA chapter is hosting a new student event. I google all the attendees to make sure that they are real students. I can affirm that new students are so, so, so impressive. They do real research in labs. They work to be astronauts for NASA. They are captains of a school sport. And they are genuinely nice, well grounded kids. Not weirdos who have socialization issues like at some nameless schools. It warms my heart how impressive the kids are that are going to Cal.
My other internet community talks about their kids quite often, and a lot of what they say their kids care about or do makes me feel better about the future.
I previously missed this development, but Trace Travis writes that TE Collin Moore retracted his name from the transfer portal and will play his fifth year at Cal after getting accepted to grad school. This means we have a blocking TE if the season is played.
