I hang out in casual clothes now. Sweat shorts in the summer until I can remember to put on some proper cargo shorts and then t-shirts pretty much every day all day. I almost never buy t-shirts, because my closet is full of them and freebies come into my life frequently enough where there's no need to buy anything new with the sole exception of a Gus' Fried Chicken t-shirt from the Ole Miss game.

It's been half a year and I'm now starting to notice that t-shirts, which happily hung out in my closet for years without much sign of wear, are now buckling under the strain of constant wear. Several thrown out and many on their way out.

So, for the first time in seemingly a long time, I am proactively buying t-shirts again. First purchase, a Top Dog shirt. I wonder what I'll buy next.

I instinctively booed Cal Quantrill when I saw him pitch in a Fall Instructional League (not to be confused with Arizona Fall League) game at the home of the Angels in Tempe. It was the day after seeing Cal lose to ASU in Football on a September day a few years ago. The only slight complication was that the only fans inside that ballpark were me and my Uber driver (who I convinced to check this out for a bit), so Cal (and other random players and coaches including USC alum Mark Prior who was coaching the Padres team) turned around and saw me in my Cal cap (I only packed Cal stuff for the extended weekend Cal Football trip). It was kind of awkward.

By the way, after my Uber driver left, a random kid wearing a Cal track jacket showed up (he apparently had no real Cal affiliation and got that jacket from a cousin). The two of us got autographs from a sleepy Hideo Nomo who was there to scout the game.

No fans generally go to Instructional League games except that because Tebow was playing in Mets' Instructional League games in Florida, there were articles about fans going there to see him.
