Cal's conference record is 11 wins and 20 losses since Wilcox got here. Cal has not had a winning record in the Pac 12 since 2009. Hopefully this class will change that. It only takes one or two guys. I am thinking about Russell White in 1989, Aaron Rodgers out of Butte College in 2003 and DeSean Jackson in 2005.
This is a great class with multiple 4* on the offense. The depth and upgrade on the DL is impressive. Says volumes about Cal and the staff that they were able to keep this class together (only 1 decommit). Also was pleasantly surprised that Rutchena is part of this class after a greyshirt season. This kid is a very good football player and local from Monte Vista.
I have been critical of Wilcox' preparedness and coaching during this 1-3 campaign and still am, but keeping the recruiting class together without de-commits is very impressive. That part of it is probably even more important as super Mario is proving over at Oregon. Now let's keep the transfer portal shut down......
hard to see either one happening. Why would you leave the Ducks given the talent they've amassed, financial backing, and recruting advantage Ducks have over everyone else in the Pac-12 except maybe SC? Also, doesn't seem like Wilcox would be the guy to take advantage of all that offensive firepower the Ducks have.
You forgot the lower expectations in the Pac12. Malzahn has gone to a bowl every year and got fired....... They are the Nebraska of the SEC! Spoiled freaking brat m-f......... don't get me started.....
19 for 19 is great! Cardwell would be the running back cherry on this 2021 Sundae. Hard for me to be critical of Wilcox in a season like this given his record and credibility he brings. Yes, special teams needs an overhaul and I'd be disappointed to see this go unaddressed in the offseason. Then again, what do you do when a coach like Ragle who is also landing guys like Kai Milner?
Ragle is pushing hard for the HC vacancy at Arizona. This would appear to be a long shot, at best, but rumor is he's got at least some support from backers.
Millner is the guy who threw the no-look flip to his receiver in the end zone that was showcased all over the web and on ESPN. Pretty impressive awareness.
No way. Keep his recruiting chops. You think To$h was a great line coach? I LOVE the regional recruiting chops of folks like Ragle. Anyone from Texas on staff??
This is my favorite Cal sports day in a long time! Want to hear more and loving it. Seeing young men make this choice is always a delight. And unlike in the past, we are really doing our best to recruit local and get guys who are strong fits for the uniqueness of Cal.
Just watched some Jermaine Terry film.......WOW!!!

2009? Wow. I'm surprised we had winning record in 2009.
Coach Wilcox's presser on the recruits. As we know Wilcox doesn't show much emotion but one can observe he's excited about this class.

Yeah he kind of breaks out of his usual coachspeak. You can tell he's excited.
Like he says, they picked up an entire 3-4 defense in this class...
Which guy does he peg for the NT spot?
8 of the class will be enrolling early, which is always good.
Just wait til you see how excited a Snooped-up Rob is about this class on Friday.
Looking forward to it!! I know I'm yoked about this awesome class especially after getting more insight from Wilcox about their personalities.
And imagine if Cardwell decides to be a Bear!!
For those who may not know, Cardwell is the RB that Wilcox eludes to in his presser. It appears that Cal still has a shot for this 4* RB.
I like how they made nifty logos for each player. https://twitter.com/CalFootball/status/1339359062253654019/photo/1
That's pretty cool.
This is awesome! What a clever and simple thing to do with some good design help. I bet many guys enjoy the heck out of this.
Classes aren't finalized yet, but 21st in the nation and our best class since the Tedford era.

Go Bears!!
Who decommitted?
Reed 3*, OL out of Eastside Catholic in Washington, he decided to go to Princeton
Okay, I can live with that....... just sayin'

Mario seems to be the main target of the Auburn coaching search. If he goes, no doubt Wilcox would be on the Ducks’ short list.

Maybe they want our offensive coordinator.

Great news

Agreed, on all points!
Are we waiting on anyone? I count 15; should be 2-3 more?
There are 18 signees now...
Kaleb Higgins, CB from Folsom High is the only remaining commit.
Higgins just signed...got all of them
I'm excited to see this new group in action!
Nice to see Wilcox closing on the 23rd ranked class in the nation, despite the challenges and W-L record of this season. In Wilcox we Trust! Go Bears!
Hopefully beating Oregon is keeping all these guys in the fold. Pretty exciting!
Someone had to.
