Former Cal K Mateen Bhaghani commits to UCLA; S Raymond Woodie III and OLB Moso'oipala Tuitele enter the Transfer Portal
Post bowl game direction
As bowl season for the California Golden Bears has come and gone, more names are looking in different directions. Kicker Mateen Bhaghani, who had announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal before the Independence Bowl has found his next home at UCLA. The SoCal native went 8/9 on field goals and 29/29 on extra points through his tenure as Cal’s starting kicker. Michael Luckhurst looks to have the lead for the job next year at the moment.
Additionaly, safety Raymond Woodie III entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer and will have one year remaining where ever he goes. The two time transfer from Florida State and now Cal won’t have to sit a year because he earned his degree. Outside linebacker Moso’oipala Tuitele was the final name to enter the portal, and will have three years of eligiblity at his next stop. Tuitele didn’t record any stats as a Golden Bear after being moved to tight end from his former outside linebacker position.
We wish Mateen, Raymond, and Moso’oipala all the best in their futures!
Thank you, Mateen for the good work you did.
We need a kicker, special teams coach and more lineman.
