Pac-12 Football: FOX Will Televise The Big Game on Nov. 27
California-Stanford football will kick off at 1 p.m. Pacific
The Pac-12 Conference announced its Friday "special date" kick-off times Tuesday, and the California Golden Bears will face off against the Stanford Cardinal on Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. Pacific. Fox will televise the Big Game.
The Pac-12 previously announced a seven-game, conference-only football schedule, which will begin on Saturday, Nov. 7.
In a first for the conference, the Pac-12 Network will not air any football games this season. Every football game will air on ESPN or FOX Sports, including sister channels ABC, ESPN 2, ESPNU or FOX.
The other Friday games this season are:
Friday, Nov. 13: Utah at UCLA - 7:30 p.m. PT on FS1
Friday, Nov. 20: UCLA at No. 13 Oregon - 7:30 p.m. PT on ESPN
Friday, Nov. 27: Stanford at California - 1 p.m. on FOX
Friday, Nov. 27: No. 13 Oregon at Oregon State - 12:30, 4 or 7:30 p.m. PT on ABC or ESPN
Friday, Nov. 27: Washington at Washington State - 12:30, 4 or 7:30 p.m. PT on ABC or ESPN
Friday, Dec. 4: Washington State at No. 24 USC - 6:30 or 7:30 p.m. PT on FS1
Friday, Dec. 11: Arizona State at Arizona - 4:30 p.m. PT on ESPN
Friday, Dec. 11: Utah at Colorado - 6:30 p.m. PT on FS1
Television game selections are typically made six to 12 days in advance, and another announcement is expected for the remaining games later in the season.
What about Jon Wilner's suggestion last week that Big Game move to Palo Alto this year to flip the schedule so that Cal hosts in odd-numbered years. This would balance the schedule better for both schools in odd- and even-numbered years.
