Hello and welcome to Golden Nuggets! Let’s dig in!

EDSBS Charity Bowl 2025
Dear friends, the time has come for us to come together and out-petty our rivals for the benefit of refugees looking to resettle here in the United States. I’m speaking of course about the EDSBS Charity Bowl, a fundraiser for New American Pathways. “New American Pathways is an Atlanta based nonprofit with the mission of helping refugees and Georgia thrive. Our vision is for new Americans in metro Atlanta to become successful, contributing, and welcomed members of Georgia’s communities.”
This year’s bowl will start Monday, April 14th and run through Friday April 18th. During that time, you are encouraged (if you are able) to donate funds to New American Pathways through their donation link and indicate which school you will be donating for (if you’re reading this, that school is Cal (Berkeley). Last year, this community raised $17,565 for resettling refugees and placed 13th (Stanford donated $21,551 and placed 10th). All told, $1,171,087 was donated in 5 days to welcome refugees into their new lives.
For those looking to be clever, we’ve compiled a few suggested donations to honor the 2024-2025 Cal Athletics
$98.00 for 98 Yards With My Boys
$21.14 for making Auburn Woke
$3,000 to represent everyone that attended College GameDay in Berkeley
$60, $10 for each time Mya Lauzon was named ACC Gymnast of the Week
$44.70 for the dismantling of Oregon State by Cal Football
$83.63 for the first half of the Cal Women’s Basketball Stanford Sweep
$75.72 for the second half of the Cal Women’s Basketball Stanford Sweep
Please note that any and all donations are appreciated, especially *gestures broadly at the economy* now. Please, if you can donate, great, and if you can’t, please help amplify.

Great info...good to see that Cal is doing great as usual ... in everything other than major sports.
...does the shameful sports decline bring down the Cal "brand"?
...does Cal need to have teams in the highest competive level leagues?
