I’m just happy to be in the conversation. Madsen really does seem to be elevating our program. Now we just need to nail down those last transfer spots!

Landing him will put our class certainly in the top 5 or 6 in the country. It will also send one of our projected starters into the portal. Because someone is going to sit is this guy will command big minutes.

This would be for 2025, not 2024.

If he's truly a combo guard, he's interested in how Madsen turned Tyson into a PG. I'm not too worried about losing any of the 1's we got through transfer as a result of him committing. I just don't want to lose our wings and bigs, which shouldn't be a risk.

This is a long shot, but this should tell you.Just how far Mark Madsen has come as far as a recruiter. No one puts Cal on any radar that's in the top ten in the nation and the fact that this guy even wants to look at Cal says a lot.

Game tape is eerily Booker-ish. Mature game and body. He's gonna be good straight out of the gate.

Consider me intrigued. Not necessarily optimistic, but intrigued. Reminding myself that Brown may have been a once-in-a-generation type event.

In the NIL age it would be even more impressive to nab a top recruit than it was when Cuonzo got JB (who, lets not forget, already favored Cal because of his role model Shareef Abdur-Rahim).

Most definitely. JB wanted to come to both Berkeley and Cal. I don't know how many dudes with his talent there are out there who fit that criteria but I don't think I need a second hand to count.
