I think its the optics of when he gets hit, it feels like there's a good chance the ball is coming out. Whether true or not.. but I did a quick search to compare Goff vs Stafford, fumbles lost over their career:
- Stafford lost 38 fumbles in 15 years.
- Goff lost 33 fumbles in 8 years.
Obv stats with grain of salt.. But, Stafford arguably had worse offensive lines over that time too and was really getting creamed in Detroit for a while, but lost at roughly half the rate over his career bigger picture.
