In a Saturday night news dump, Jaydn Ott posted that he’s coming back for another round with the California Golden Bears via the Wolf of Wall Street meme, “I’m not leaving.”
After a stellar first two season for the Golden Bears, Ott was limited with injury this past season and had a ton of options in his next steps. But his ultimate decision was to finish what he started in his final year of collegiate eligibility. Standing at 2597 rushing yards all-time (10th among Cal running backs, trailing Russell White by 649 yards) and 3333 yards from scrimmage (8th among Cal running backs, trailing Chuck Muncie by 804 yards), Ott will have an excellent chance to top both lists in his final season with the Bears. He will join Jaivian Thomas to provide one of the most promising one-two run game punches in college football.
Cherish the last year of H1M. Jaydn Ott, one of the sturdiest Golden Bears to ever step foot in California Memorial Stadium is back for his last dance.
Absolutely loved that he announced this with a meme. In the modern age of college football and the transfer portal, it's nice to see a blue chip talent like Ott still bleeds blue and gold. We're lucky to have him.
